Summer Camp Paid Jobs

YCS After-School Child Care Director for Grades 2-5

Under the supervision of the Yarmouth Community Services Director and Assistant Director, the After-School Child Care Director is responsible for programming and supervision of the YCS After-School Care Program at the Yarmouth Elementary School during the 2015-2016 school year. The After-School Care Director will plan and implement a program of activities for approximately 45 children, which will ensure each child’s personal safety while providing entertainment, physical activities and learning experiences. The After-School Care Director is responsible for the supervision and management of three paid staff, assisting in collection of payments and working closely with Yarmouth Community Services and the Yarmouth School District to ensure that all areas of the job responsibilities reflect the mission of Yarmouth Community Services. Candidates should be a minimum of 21 years of age, with a college degree in a recreation/education field and have experience working with school age children. CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.

Program Dates: September 8, 2015 – June 15, 2016 (no program during school vacations, holidays, snow days, teacher in-service days or summer vacations)

• Work Hours: Monday - Friday 2:15 – 5:45pm (additional hours required as needed each week)

• Program Location: Yarmouth Elementary School

• Rate of Pay: $15-20/hour, based on experience

YCS After-School Child Care Staff

Under the supervision of the YES Care Director and the Yarmouth Community Services Assistant Director, the After School Child Care Staff is responsible for assisting in the programming and supervision of the after school care program at Yarmouth Elementary School during the 2015-2016 school year. The After School Care Staff will help plan and implement a program of activities for approximately 45 children in grades 2-5, which will ensure each child’s personal safety while providing entertainment, physical activities and learning experiences. The After School Care Staff will work closely with Yarmouth Community Services and the Yarmouth School District to ensure that all areas of the job responsibilities reflect the mission of Yarmouth Community Services. Successful candidates should have some child care supervision experience.

• Program Dates: September 8, 2015 – June 15, 2016 (no program during school vacations, holidays, snow days and teacher in-service days).

• Work Hours: Monday - Friday 3:00 – 5:30 pm

• Program Location: Yarmouth Elementary School

• Rate of Pay: $10-12/hour, based on experience
