Master Plan for Yarmouth Community Complex

TOWN OF YARMOUTH SPORTS & RECREATION COMMITTEE
PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE
6:00p.m., Town Hall Community Room

On Monday, June 8, 2015, the Town of Yarmouth’s Sports and Recreation Committee will meet at 6:00p.m. to discuss the development of a Master Plan for the Yarmouth Community Complex (the YHS turf/track complex).

The Sports and Recreation Committee is tasked with hosting a forum for public input and a sharing of ideas for this Master Plan. The goal of this meeting is to finalize a Master Plan by the end of June so that project expenses can be estimated and a fundraising plan developed.

Zac Wiest Awarded Outstanding Park Professional of the Year
at the Maine Recreation & Park Association’s Annual Conference.

On Tuesday, March 24th, long-time Town of Yarmouth and Yarmouth Community Services Parks Division’s employee, Zac Wiest was awarded the inaugural Outstanding Park Professional of the Year at the Maine Recreation and Park Association’s Annual Conference. With over 20 years of service to the Town, Zac has played important roles in providing outstanding and well-maintained facilities in our parks, trails, fields, open spaces, skating pond, and buildings. His leadership, foresight, and skills allow Yarmouth to lead the state in providing top-notch programming and recreational opportunities for the community.
